Dark Basic Professional Codes


circles v1.0


Another little game. Made this one for the Endless Competition in the German Forum.

Collect energy (the blue circles) to reach the next level.
Avoid the red circles - they will hurt you. By time your shockwave is ready to freeze the red circles for some seconds. (left mouseclick)


Memblock Pyramid Function


A function which creates a Pyramid with optional height, radius, rows and columns...
May you find the Normalize-Function usefull too.



Endless Zoom Demo


A tricky zoom demo showing an endless recursive structure.






Fire Altar


Another codesnipplet I wrote for the endless competition in the german dbp boards.
The topic was it to create a candle. I actually missed it :D. The result is nevertheless worth a short view.

Everything in the demo was created without any external media.



Fire Demo using Memblocks


Again an entry for the endless competition in the german forum. The Topic was "Create a nice Fire effect"
I used memblocks to precalculate the fireanimation which makes a demo much more flexible.

'Cause of the played animation I got more then 300 fps!! :-)



Fireparticles


This is another entry for the german endless competition. The Topic was "particles".
I'm a great fan of firedemos and lucky that this works in dbp quite well.

Around 30 - 40 fps on my machine (2x 1600 Mhz| gforce go 7400)


2D Metaball Demo v1.0


This is the 2D Version of the 3D Metaball Demo. Without Colours this is quite boring but the first step to understand what happens in the next dimension ;)




3D Metaballs Demo


I'm quite happy to realize those four Metaballs in DarkBASIC Pro. :-)
Works on my machine (2x 1600 Mhz| gforce go 7400) with 20 - 30 fps.

Thx @ D-Man for some optimisation hints. :-)

Known Issues:

- Parts of the Metaball-Objects disappear when touching the invisible border
- Cube-Mapping problem on older machines



Motion Blur Demo


Not long since I saw the Motion Blur effect in NfS Underground. I'm no fan of racing games but this effect I do love! :-)
Another inspiration was the neat Motion Blur Demo of Stephan & Kulle.

It took some time before I 'discovered' this cute effect.

Ships v1.0


This is a little game I wrote for the 50 line competition in the UK Forums.

>>It's a space conquest game. You are player RED and you have to conquer planets which are producing ships for your fleet depending on each planets size.
You can send your fleets to enemy planets to fight them or to your own planets to support them. Click the mouse to select your planets. You can select more then one planet. At the moment you only can send the half of the planets fleet.

Try to conquer all the planets as fast as possible.<<
